Join the mission as a volunteer

Discover how you can help make a difference today

Whether you’re an experienced fly fisher or simply passionate about helping others, your time and skills can make a lasting impact. Our volunteers help participants rediscover focus, confidence, and peace through the art of fly tying, casting, and the experience of being on the water.

Ways to get involved

1:1 fly-tying mentors
Share your knowledge and patience by working directly with participants in our fly-tying sessions. You’ll teach the craft, but more importantly, you’ll help foster connection, mindfulness, and a sense of accomplishment in each person you guide.

Fishing guides
Help lead small-group fly-fishing outings in partnership with our team. Volunteers support participants on the water—offering instruction, encouragement, and safety oversight—while creating a calm, welcoming space for reflection and healing.

Additional Volunteer Opportunities
You don’t need to be a fly fisher to make a difference. From hands-on support at the campsite to behind-the-scenes help with marketing, finance, or logistics, there are many ways to contribute. We’ll work with you to find a role that suits your skills and interests.

What we look for

We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds who share our belief in the healing power of nature. You don’t have to be a professional angler; we provide guidance and training. What matters most is empathy, reliability, and a genuine desire to help others on their recovery journey.

Why volunteer

Every cast and conversation helps someone take another step toward peace and recovery. Volunteering with Adam’s Parachute connects you with a compassionate community and allows you to make a difference in a meaningful way.
